Ice Cream Shop Staff Member

Our fast-paced ice cream shop is open from May 1 until Thanksgiving, 7 days a week from 11am-7pm.

Responsibilities include:

• Serve ice cream, frappes, smoothies, and beverages

• Sensibly and appropriately use point of sale system/cash register

• Take lunch orders

• Restock supplies depleted throughout the day following FIFO (first in first out) method

• Serve guests sitting at dine-in tables by making and bringing out drinks, ice cream, smoothies, etc. to their tables

• Have a pleasant, kind, customer service attitude

• Receiving and appropriately putting ice cream related away orders using FIFO (first in first out) method

• Maintaining a clean and organized ice cream shop

• Ensure food products are accurately labeled, dated, and in best condition to be served; appropriately discarding spoiled product or product unfit to be served

• Maintaining the cleanliness of the seating area

• Thoroughly and completely following an opening/closing checklist that fulfill’s Tangerini’s standards

• Staffing UPick fields and CSA as needed

• Reading all information communicated through Homebase app, following scheduling posted on Homebase

Qualified applicants would have:

• At least 16 years of age

• Reliable transportation to work

• Proficiency with computers and POS registers.

• Ability to take food, ice cream, and beverage orders accurately

• Follow appropriate allergen protocol

• Familiarity with the current menu

• Ability to answer questions confidently about the ice cream and kitchen menu

• Quickly and efficiently serve ice cream menu items

• Ability to maintain a clean and ServeSafe compliant workspace

• Dedication to assigned work shifts, balancing outside personal matters with work

• Proactive, honest and constructive communication about work-related information

• Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly and easily, and to hustle through a physically busy day

• Experience in customer service

• Reliability and punctuality

• Take pride in his/her work

Compensation starts at $15.00/hour. All employees get a 25% discount on all items we sell. All new employees will come to the farm on a two-week trial basis. Good workers will find themselves in good company.
