Tangerini's Spring Street Farm

Volunteering at Tangerini’s

Tangerini's Farm CSA membrs are encouraged to volunteer, as an opportunity to learn more about the food you eat and provide to your family. We want our CSA to be as shareholder-friendly as possible. Most of us don’t need another obligation in our life, even if we do support the concept of “local food, local farms and local families.” Understanding that not everyone has the time available, volunteering is not a requirement of our CSA.

But for all of you who have watched us grow over the last 15 years, we encourage you to come and hangout in the fields now and again. Every week we will have posted specific volunteer activities, with specific beginning and ending times so that Volunteer at Tangerini Farms, for a chance to make a difference, and enjoy the out of doors.you can make the most efficient use of your time while you’re here. There is something for everybody whether it is seeding, planting, weeding, harvesting or offering your off-the-farm talents.

Just an aside, our family is not unlike yours. We have raised two children, been to hundreds of soccer, hockey and lacrosse games and practices. We have taxied them from here to there, and went for years trying to do what was best for our family. There wasn’t a lot of time left for us, let alone for volunteering. We get that!  As a shareholder you might not have the time to volunteer, but someday when your ready, I ‘m sure you’ll find volunteering at the farm fun and rewarding. We look forward to the day that you can get out there, meet new friends and learn a lot along the way!

Food to Share
Purchasing a Food-To-Share helps lower income families eat healthy and enjoy the farm with you. Tangerini's Farm is partnering with the Franklin Food Pantry to help bring fresh produce to those in need. You do not need to buy a food share for yourself in order to help us with the Food to Share program: For those purchasing only a Food-To-Share, you are invited to participate in all farm events, a significant value itself.

These monies fund half the share cost, the other half is donated by the farm. We hope  that in the years to come many shareholders will participate in this effort. Please join us and give $25, $50, $100 or..., making fresh and local produce accessible to everyone. Click here to make your gift online, or mail a check to us marked "Food to Share" program.
